US-Bulgarian Alumni Association

The Atlantic club of Bulgaria with the collaboration of the U.S. Embassy founded the US-Bulgarian Alumni Association. The aim of the association is to unite people who have studied in the United States of America. The first event of the newly established organization was held in Plovdiv University, as a topic of discussion was the “US presidential elections 2012”. By no doubt that event will affect not just the US policy but the European as well. The participants in the conference shared the opinion that no matter who the next US president will be it will not affect in any different way the US-Bulgarian relations. Solomon Passy, The chairman of the Atlantic club of Bulgaria, who is also a chairman of the newly founded organization stated that the relations between the two countries are good, but Bulgaria can gain a lot more from those relations. This is something the country is struggling to do as it even cannot formulate its own priorities.
